What’s the $65K Web Game Contest?
A contest from Base44 and Nitro by Overwolf. Build an original web game with Base44 using natural language, and compete for a share of $65,000 in cash prizes.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Describe your game in plain language, and Base44 builds it.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes, collaboration is allowed, however the contest is individual entry only. Whoever submits the game is considered the sole owner and all prizes will be paid to that person. Any arrangements between collaborators are the responsibility of the participants.
Do I have to be 18+ to join the contest?
Yes.
Do I have to use Base44?
Yes. Every game has to be built with Base44. Don’t have an account yet? Sign up at Base44.
What kind of game can I make?
Any game people can play straight in their web browser. It has to be free, with no download, login or paywall.
Can I submit more than one game?
No. It’s one game per account.
Does my game need a Base44 URL?
Yes. Games have to be hosted on a Base44 URL. Custom domains can’t be submitted.
Can I use characters, music or art from other games or movies?
No. Games can’t include copyrighted or trademarked material.
When does the contest run?
Submissions open Nov 5, 2026 at 00:00 UTC, and close Dec 3, 2026, at 23:59 UTC. Winners are announced Dec 10, 2026.

What are the prizes?
There are two prize tracks, $65,000 in total:
- Judges’ Prizes ($50,000): 1st place $25,000, 2nd place $10,000, 3rd place $5,000, and 10 runners-up at $1,000 each.
- Community Vote ($15,000): community favorite $5,000, and 10 runners-up at $1,000 each.
What happens to the best games after the contest?
They’ll be hosted on the Overwolf Appstore, putting them in front of millions of gamers.
How are games judged?
Our panel – Maor Shlomo (Base44), Uri Marchand (Overwolf) and Cody Bye (Nitro) – scores every game equally on gameplay, creativity and technical execution.
How does the Community Vote work?
Winners will be selected by an internal Base44 judging panel from among the 25 most-upvoted apps on Base44 Launchpad at the end of the contest (December 3, 2026, at 23:59 UTC).
Can my game get a prize in both tracks?
Yes. The same game can get a judges’ prize and a Community Vote prize.
When are the winners announced?
Dec 10, 2026.
How will I get my prize?
Once we have verified your details, your prize will be sent to you within 60 days via bank transfer or electronic payment in USD. Read our Terms & Conditions for more information.
